Years ago on 60 Minutes, they ran a segment on $650 toilets the Navy or Army got scammed with. I’ve forgotten the ridiculous price that was charged for a claw hammer, but it was MORE then the toilets !!!
From what I understand, it’s not so much that the actual ticket price for most items is that much, it’s the paperwork required to complete the transaction and the man-hours required to fill out and process said paperwork.[]Apparently, government workers can’t just go down to Wal-Mart.
You know how when women go out to eat together, they each figure out heir own meal and tip, but men just split the bill evenly between them? This is how the government works. They simply divide everything on the page, so you pay $6oo each for a toilet seat, a box of screws, and a new car.
