That hen was either really proud or in terrible pain.

Oh what a relief it is…

Oh my that had to hurt.

Our neighbors had chickens and we could tell when a large egg was laid. Lots and lots of cackling .

That must have hurt.

Poor chicken, did she survive?

I did stand up comedy once and laid an egg. That hurt too.

That poor chicken is dead now.

A kiwi got into the henhouse!

That had to hurt. Or it was laid by an ostrich.

That was a good reason for all the eggcitement last night.

Perfect for the breakfast bomblet.

You’d think they would have noticed the really tall ‘chicken’ with the curly tail feather and skinny legs.

Helen, get the frying pan out…..we got ourselves breakfast for two!

This is an updated version on the same theme from an Unger strip decades ago. Still enjoyable. Well, I suppose that shows my age ;-)
