For us we cut way back on red meat, more into cooked ground turkey. I eat healthy yet I struggle with weight, does not help not have much of a thyroid, on medication.
I remember when my doctor called me to tell me I was “minimal anemic”. I was not happy. I had cut down on my burger intake, and this was the thanks I got.

Kind of makes me angry just thinking about going on that type of diet..

Better that, than dead at too early an age…or, worse, becoming disabled by a stroke or heart attack.

Red meat never bothered my gout, or maybe I didn’t eat enough of it. Peanuts were murder, though, boiled, roasted, or in peanut butter.
(To be honest, though, only after eating a gallon or so. My mouth is watering right now just at the thought of any of them.)

Moderation is key. You don’t have to cut out red meat to avoid gout flare ups. This cartoon is being ridiculous.

Why is he angry? He should be proud!
