Wait until his stomach can’t take it anymore. In the meantime, have a budget.

Ishy isn’t as likely as Cybil to find a spot online to order his regular food, hmmm? Ah, well… Why not treat Ishy, and treat him big!?

McDonald’s? The Squid Chow is probably better.

Cats will do that, but I didn’t think squid would.

This would have been funnier (and more accurate) if it were the other way around. Have Ishy get sick off McD’s, then opt for Squid Chow.

I remember when we first got our monkey. He was so tiny and sick (this was back in the late 60s). My mom called the National Zoo and asked what to feed him. They said “Monkey Chow”. She said we had that, but he wouldn’t eat it. They said if he gets hungry enough, he will. Mom didn’t like that answer, so she called our vet (he was GREAT). He said he didn’t know ANYTHING about monkeys. She said she knew that, but he loves animals. And she trusts his judgement. So he looked up the kinds of foods those kind of monkeys ate, gave her a list of things we could find around here and told her to feed him anything he would eat off that list. Get him strong and healthy FIRST, THEN work on getting him to eat the monkey chow. It worked. We gradually got him onto monkey chow (it has all the nutrients he needs whereas the foods didn’t quite have everything) and we moved the other things to special treats.

You learn something new every day. Until this cartoon came along, I had no idea that cephalopods had nostrils (of course, they don’t – really), but without them the “joke” would be rather pointless, wouldn’t it?

Just another minor case of “anthropomorphism”, and with cephalopods that’s not really that great a stretch since they already share a large number of traits in common with us, already! ,
