Reminds me of a fried who had kids who’d often drive by and whack his mailbox with a bat. After a while he replaced the standard pole with a 3" iron pipe, buried 6’ down into a cemented base. The mailbox was then filled with cement. (The real mailbox was just below but the juicy target was up high and proud.) Needless to say, after a short while his redesign was evidently successful as often in the mornings he’d find broken side window glass from vehicles along his front yard. Fool Around, Find Out.
Then, there were the children who made a snowman. The bullies in a pickup truck would smash it with the front bumper. Then, the children covered up a tree stump. Next morning the tire treads stopped and reversed in front of the half covered dented stump!

If it was a sharp rock that would be worse.

Knowing Lio, I’m surprised it wasn’t the home of a giant man-eating sea anemone or something like that.
