I doubt this could ever happen.

They DID put something in the Constitution to,prevent morons from being elected. It’s called the Electoral College. And it doesn’t work because 18th century America is not the same as 21st century America.

They did, the 1st Amendment ‘freedom of the press’. The media is charged with informing the public. What they choose to inform the public of is up to them. Freedom of Speech allows truths and lies to be broadcast. Our Founders had the very same issues with “fake news” as we have today. The scandals between Adams and Jefferson let us know that this is nothing new, nor unexpected by our Founders.

Our Founders were serious when they fought for and established ‘self government’. Lincoln repeated it, “…government of the people, by the people, for the people”. Who is elected to office is the responsibility, by design, of WE, the People. We get the government we deserve.

There’s been more than one of those elected. I guess they messed this one up.

I have little doubt that President Biden’s handlers will somehow succeed in keeping him in office as that would certainly be the best thing for the nation. As his dementia progresses we will see less and less of him, but better to have him than his VP.
