Bernice looks pathetic in that get-up in the final panel if you ask me… specially when wielding a baseball bat. (Since when has she ever played ball?)

It’s a habit for me to check all the doors before I go to bed.

A baseball bat? She’s afraid of them or him?

I understand the robe but I don’t understand the jacket and shoes lol

Freud would probably have raised eyebrows that she “accidentally” forgot to perform such an important act as latching the front door

How can someone supposedly smart accidentally forget to latch a front door, and why would that supposedly smart person need to wear a hat and jacket to take care of that door?

I love Piro’s teasing sense of humor and I feel like he’s going to be an interesting character in the strip. Hope he comes up more. I ship him a lot with Bernice

Why doesn’t she just trust Piro to defend her honor? He would be a definite surprise to anyone who might invade her suite and assume she’s alone.

Well, our lady-like little fuddy-duddy has put herself on display for Piro! And what a display it is! Thank goodness, sleepy Piro still has a sense of humor….

I get up some mornings and the doors are unlocked, sometimes the garage door. Never had a problem, yet.

She could just lock the door to her room, that would take care of things ‘till morning. If she doesn’t trust Piro enough so that she has to tote a Louisville Slugger why did she let him crash there?

“Nah, the neighborhood’s fine, but the latch can be a little stubborn sometimes, so I take the bat in case I need to show it who’s boss.”

Bernice can leave the door unlocked. If someone comes into the room, it would wake up Piro on the couch. In any case, Des will be home soon, and she would have to latch the door behind her.

I thought her “boy crazy” mode was what she had been showing with Derek the drug pusher (which ironically has been featured in Luann Againn lately). Until Bernice figured out that he was using her to push his products, she was completely wacko over him. I don’t see anything similar in her reaction to Piro.

It utterly amazes me how many people are all “Omg Bernice and Piro would be so good together.” Despite the fact he’s a stranger who apparently has no problem randomly showing up in people’s dorms and spending the night there. This kind of behavior would get people arrested, or if Tiffany was doing it slut shamed. Bernice is an idiot pure and simple.

What do shoes have to do with being smart, and why does she need anything on her feet just to go down and close the door? How does this make any sense?

Soon the bat will be illegal. You will be obliged to have a gun.

You mean there’s nothing funny about a girl letting a complete stranger sleep in your living room after he lets himself in without invitation? Hahaha… oh wait.

the comment about the rough neighborhood could be a clue to Piro’s background. Unless tomorrow’s episode sheds light, this arc might have to go into a third week.

Tiffany must let her in on Victoria’s Secret. She looks so bad, she couldn’t “turn on” a switch.

Except for the cap, the whole get-up make sense if she’s actually going to lock the front door to the dorm. But – and I do hate to do the buzzkill thing – I suspect most modern dorms have card keys and time locks. Still, I’ll give today’s meh strip a pass because of yesterday’s home run.

A roommate would have a key to use on a locked door.
