Oh Tara, there is no comedy with a Luann who is good at romance. Bring on another guy for Luann to mess up with!!!

“Never say never, Luann.” And the “she’s back” is probably Bets. I guess her and Gunther are kaput.

Luann, listen to Tara.

Now might be a real good time for Lu to catch with Gunther and go one on one and ask how His date with Bets went. Then compare notes on what went wrong and what went right.

Then Luann might want ask herself what SHE wants out of a “relationship” or if she wants one at all.

AND not let Tara OR Pru Prod her into doing something she’s not exactly ready for.

Tara had better be careful with those chemicals and holding them so close to her face, they turned her tank top black in the last panel…

Luann it could be Jack or Gunther.

Luann’s response to Howie was honest. She didn’t want to talk anymore about staples.

Luann should be old enough by now to know that you don’t get a reason on a first date flop. Sometimes the fish just aren’t biting….

Tara doesn’t appear to be using much of an “analytical” approach to mixing her chemicals.

Tara knows Luann better than Luann knows Luann.

Try again Luann! Everything deserves a second chance. And more experience you do, more you learn!

Maybe a tank top is not a good choice for chemistry lab. Walter White in the RV is not an example to emulate.

There was nothing wrong with her reaction to Howie. Just because a guy might be interested in you doesn’t obligate you to accept his advances when you have no real reciprocal interest.

That’s funny. Back in the days you’d respond to Blind Date Ads in the newspaper. These new-tech ways are like a constantly revolving door. You’re in and out in a flash.

Bottom line: Not Luann or Tiffany or Gunther are going into the deep end in this strip. “Okay, everybody, hide……puberty is coming.”

Both Bernice and Tara seem to be much harsher in their criticisms. And Tara used to get Luann to consider new things that didn’t lead to trouble for Lu. What’s up with all this?

Oh! And where was Tara during those “missing days” after “the party?” Come on, Greg! Give!

Sunday: Luann’s room is a mess.

We will be on to another character Monday for sure and this will be on hold for many weeks.

We never did find out why Tara didn’t date Doug. If she didn’t go out with him she shouldn’t have encouraged Luann to see him. I don’t really care for Tara.

So I think G & K will beg the question of whether Luann should have been more responsive to Howie – who obviously wanted a date. Maybe Monday we’ll see Fay hired to watch Shannon. The two could exchange acting roles.

Luann would NOT feel better if she knew the exact reason that Doug was not interested in her. That would only make her feel worse about herself. There is some guy who will like her exactly the way she is. Keep looking.

To paraphrase from Poltergeist 2: … “She’s BAAA-aaack!!”

To be honest … the gaggle of friends at the other table wildly talking about the date while the date was going, Doug felt like he was under surveillance for a police take-down.

Luann is a hopeless romantic, forever cursed to never be successful at dating, until she is, which will happen sometime in the future, wispy distant future. This is her role as the name character the strip is ABOUT should be remember. Now, as compared to when she was in grade school and was over the moon ever Aaron Hill, she has an age appropriate and expanded cast of characters to journey along with her, remember HILARITY ENSUES! I would like to see Toni preggers though, I mean Meghan had her new royal, why not Brad and Toni?

There’s nothing wrong with Luann’s response to Howie. She doesn’t owe Howie anything.

One of my sons is single, and the last date that he told me about was his only date with the lady. She called herself a loser three times during dinner, so he felt there must be much more wrong. He ended the evening nicer than Doug did. Doug was rude but to the point.

And when the lab blows up Luann still won’t have a clue why she shouldn’t be using her phone during class.

seems like this is a good place to pause the arc and pick up on another (next week), leaving us swinging in the wind. Maybe it’s Doug, with all the explanations that Luann wanted.

In addition to all her other weaknesses, Luann is wishy-washy. Charlie Brown, look out!

Maybe Tara could help ground Luann in reality, except that Luann prefers fantasy….

It has been an interesting, long arc. Might need a little fresh air, but no reason to end it yet. I would like to peek in on Gunter and Bets’ progress and see how she looks in her normal clothes, not a Star Trek uniform. Come to think of it, I do not EVER want to meet someone dressed in Star Trek or Star Wars attire. (Unless it was Marina Sirtis)

Just when I try to get out, they pull me back in!
