    I think this is based on a childhood meme of making one’s way across the living room by leaping on the furniture “because the floor is lava”. I learned of this recently. In my childhood, plain ol’ flood waters were a good enough excuse. Mom hated that game.

    Boy, I’d kill for a floor like that now. Think of all the time you’d save not having to vacuum. Probably be a pretty good security system, too.

    I remember that craze. A few years ago, lava floors were really hot. Now people take them with a grain of basalt.
