Don’t get greedy. The extra leg room should be enough of a bonus.

Okay, so it doesn’t entitle me. May I set up a tip jar anyway?

In which universe is there that much space inside the plane?

That’s not extra leg room, that’s simply leg room. The other seats require temporary amputation at the knees. The reassembly is left as an exercise for the traveler and is often left as undone as the baggage connection.

When traveling overseas, I always choose to use their airline, not the US airline. Especially to Europe — it’s a whole different experience. What, say, US airlines provided into the 1970s.

If there is an emergency, I think a tip jar is permissible. Or he could be a gentleman and let others go first, picking their pockets as they pass in a panic.

It could however, ensure you are the first one out. In such situations, seconds count.

(Trolling people will just get you flagged by the less patient.)
