On the heels of the S-CHIP debate, a new advocacy ad featuring children hits the airwaves. Boy: I was forced to fight in the LORD'S RESISTANCE ARMY in Uganda when I was 15 years old. Boy: Together, we can put an end to this horrible practice. The TV spot raises ethical concerns. Should child soldiers be pawns for special interest groups who want to rescue child soldiers? Woman: It's not fair to put children in that position. They're too young to grasp the complexity of the issue. Woman: An obscure blog said he's only exchanged small arms fire. Hardly traumatic. Man: He's 15. I fired guns when I was 15. The Lord's Resistance Army denies kidnapping the child for a bloody guerilla campaign. Man: A discussion about child soldiers should be just that, a discussion. Emotions should play no role.
