On the heels of the S-CHIP debate, a new advocacy ad featuring children hits the airwaves. Boy: I was forced to fight in the LORD'S RESISTANCE ARMY in Uganda when I was 15 years old. Boy: Together, we can put an end to this horrible practice. The TV spot raises ethical concerns. Should child soldiers be pawns for special interest groups who want to rescue child soldiers? Woman: It's not fair to put children in that position. They're too young to grasp the complexity of the issue. Director of the Center to Defend Children Against Child Defenders And as new information comes to light, the kid's story seems to have more holes than a bullet-riddled corpse. Woman: An obscure blog said he's only exchanged small arms fire. Hardly traumatic. Man: He's 15. I fired guns when I was 15. The Lord's Resistance Army denies kidnapping the child for a bloody guerilla campaign. Man: A discussion about child soldiers should be just that, a discussion. Emotions should play no role.
