John Edwards was doing something highly unusual for a presidential candidate: mentioning the existence of HOMELESS PEOPLE. John Edwards: Which is strange because Hillary and Obama are NOT homeless and this election is about THEM! Rich, overpaid pundits can't grasp the notion of a rich, overpaid trial lawyer CARING about someone seventeen income brackets below him. Pundit: He's pandering. It's hot air. Pundit #2: They should be offered something MEANINGFUL - like prayer. Even homeless people are unsure how their plight figures into an election strategy. Homeless Man: I want my blankets to have exciting coverage of race-batting and sexism - not my boring life. News Anchor: From Wall Street traders to park bench bums, Americans won't stand for a candidate injecting SUBSTANCE into the HORSE RACE. Wall Street Trader: We REJECT class warfare. Homeless Man: It detracts from race and gender warfare!
