America has been at war in Afghanistan my entire adult life. I thought it time to get out from behind the drawing table and see it for myself. Matt Bors: Portland to New York to Moscow to Dubai to Dushanbe. Descent Into Chaos I'm headed there with fellow cartoonists Ted Rall and Steven Cloud for a month-long trip. Ted Rall: It's going to be hot, miserable and dangerous. You in? Rall Cloud We're traveling unembedded to remote regions in the southwest to see how the war is affecting Afghans in its ninth year.
