At a dingy hotel in Chaghcharan, a member of the terrorist organization Hezb-e-Islami stayed across the hall from us. He invited us over for a chat. He spoke fondly of his time killing Soviets and the need for Sharia law. Terrorist: Allah made these ways to live. It's all very logical. Allah is the cause of everything. My friend Cloud chimed in. Cloud: So what caused Allah? Matt Bors: OH, SNAP! Terrorist: Excuse me. Allah needs no cause. He had killed before. We didn't push it. Cloud: Makes sense. Matt Bors: Very logical.
