TV has been more than its usual crappy. Everybody is running a âmarathonâ of some sort â an endless stream of reruns.
I wonder why there are MORE commercials in re-re-re-re-re-runs than there are for the original program. Even with royalties, they should have paid for the program by now.
Also I donât know how they do the compression: the original show was 30 minutes with 3 minutes of commercial the rerun is 30 minutes with 10 minutes of commercials.
I kept count on AMC the other day: 17 commercials between one part of a movie and the next.
Thank technology for DVR: record then fast forward through the commercials, AKA: trash compacting.
Christmas season never leaves Hallmark â one channel will run Christmas movies every Thursday night, the other every Friday, The new rival channel, GAC, owned by the former CEO of Hallmark, will have them every Saturday night. Thereâs no escape!

And then â the relentless onslaught leading to Valentineâs Day. Get out the ice cream. And a mixing bowl if youâre feeling fancy.

It gives actors and production crews jobs and entertains enough people to make it profitable. If you you donât like it, donât watch it.
