Keep pushing that beeping locator button, and by the time you get there, your battery will be too worn out to start your car.

This is EXACTLY why they shouldn’t allow Fat people access to handicap parking spaces.

We tend to think of America as being the most technologically advanced country in the world: we’re not.

Anyone who has been to international airports in other countries and then compares them to JFK might say, ’If I knew it was going to be like this, I would have taken the bus."

Other countries have much better wireless and internet service and both cheaper than us.

Our credit cards are just catching up to where Europe has been for a decade.

About a decade ago, I visited my niece in Dublin and while we were there, we went to a mall.

We knew what lot to use because the number of spaces available was shown outside the building. As we drove up the ramp, we knew how many spaces were on each floor and as we selected a floor, we knew which aisles had open slots indicated by a green arrow and number of slots and when we turned in, these slots were marked with a green light over them.

Think about that the next time you wander up and down ramps and zig-zag through the aisles in an American parking lot, burning gas and adding to the pollution and our own frustration while looking for a space and then finding a subcompact in what looks like an opening.

When we left, we went to a kiosk where my nice provided her license plate number. It told us which floor, aisle and slot the car was in and showed it on a map. As we left, we drove out the gate without stopping, the fee being charged to her credit card. No E-Z pass required.

I recall taking a half hour to get out of a parking lot at JFK as everyone had to stop at the booth, present their ticket, have the person punch the computer, collect their credit card or cash, make change or have the person sign the CC receipt before the attendant opened the gate.

Some airports now let you pay at a kiosk on the way to the parking lot using the ticket you collected on the way in. It’s nice to see that parts of America are making their way into the 21st century.

One day I flew to Phoenix, picked up my rental car, picked up my son and went to a concert. As we were walking to the stadium in a huge parking lot, I realized I had paid no attention to what the rental car looked like. Thought I would have to wait until everyone else left to find it!

I have no problem finding my car. I just look for my 6 foot duel band antenna mount on my roof rack.
