I do not own a dog but I can actually commiserate with Sedgie. My neighbors dogs come over for a little interaction and treats, and I get my fill and send them home. No vet bills , no dog food, no grooming. Its really great !!!!
Reminds me of the people who bring in pets to share with those living in the nursing homes. It is a win-win-win situation for the pet, the pet-owner, and especially the patient.
Cartoon or not, the number of dip sticks is high that realize too late that owning a dog was MORE than they bargained for and thus turn it over to a local animal shelter.
AWWW! Look at the middle panel and those lovely puppy eyes as he looks at Sedgie! And even Sedgewick looks happy in that lower blue panel- a nice change from the usual.
For shame, Sedgwick Nuttingham III! For shame! That poor puppy offered you unconditional love and companionship, and you have just callously tossed it back into the rental pool, where life is hard and short….

Sedgewick’s eyes make him look like he’s an android instead of a “real boy”… :-P

Honestly a better way than him getting a dog, and then mistreating it.

A good way for him to decide if he would like to have a dog. And if he does get a dog, Jarvis will make sure that it’s taken care of.
