This is quite astonishing how precisely Jim Meddick captures the spirit and language of commentators…

This is a funny storyarc. Thank you for cheering us up.

The robots at actual “robot battle” competitions aren’t really robots, are they? That is, a robot is something that monitors its environment, and performs a specified action automatically (without human guidance). The “robots” at robot competitions don’t do that… they are all remote controlled by humans.

Uh oh, EB is having an identity crisis, Non-binary EB would be an “it”.

Toda in history: 25 January 1979 – First human killed by robot. Robert Williams worked on a Ford Motor Company assembly line in Flat Rock, Michigan, USA. Human and robot were both getting parts and the human was killed instantly when struck in the head by the robot’s arm. Later, Mr. Williams’ family was awarded $10 million.

Interesting that the commentators are dressed identically.

Robot has a wig and outfit? Is someone running around, in just her dainties?

Kudos to that first commentator for spotting the cheat; the “girls” are both wearing the same dress and hair. Good eye, good eye.

Any sport that needs a ring girl seems to be lacking something… Then again, the movie “Best in Show” never fails to elicit my utter worship.

Wait – which one is the real human and which one is the bot?

EB is showing that he is excellent at hiding in plain sight. Now to do some eluding.

The robot deserves some point for his tactics.

“Ring Girl”?? Is that a real thing?

Drone war till they get A.I.s that control them as robots.

That whole robot battle thing sounds like child abuse to me. Monty should be ashamed.

E.B. is the smart in this gaggle of ’bots, but sometimes brawn wins out over brains.
