Trash pickup isn’t bad. Just wheel the toters from the curb to the side of the house.

“Foyer” is a rather fancy word for Monty to be using. “Front hall” suits him better.

The local sewer treatment plant office is on a hill near a golf course, has a very nice view and offices with conference rooms. They rent the area for outdoor wedding. In the really nice view, about a 1/8 mile away is the sewer treatment plant. If the wind shifts……..it gets stinky.

Pretty weird area. There’s a pet cemetery near the entrance, a human cemetery next to that and a gun range range nearby. You can usually hear gun fire during the day.

Looks more like trash scatter days.

On a very hot and steaming day, you can smell the septic tanks. ….worse than a garbage truck….Eww

So it isn’t just here then, that the new automated trash pickup systems lead to a lot more trash by the side of the road? Judging by the third panel, that is.

My cat and I walk in the cul-de-sac early every morning – except garbage collection day. She is a brave cat and can calmly groom herself 30 feet from a busy road but those huge trucks are like dinosaurs roaming the neighborhood. Those clangs and throbbing bass engines are too much for her. She will climb a tree near the front door and wait it out. Then we go for our walk.

Municipal trash disposal is a sadly underappreciated public service, but just spend a few minutes speculating what life would be like without it.

He had to go inside so they wouldn’t collect him! :)

Foyer information, Monty avoids bad smells.

Trashy trash pick-up, leaving so much debris behind. On the other hand, the noise made by the dumpster emptying at my condo is formidable and annoying!
