The last time this happened, BroomHilda had a date (well, in my personal opinion anyway). And before that, Frank and Brandy at Liberty Meadows (that was actually drawn out).

NebulousRikulau: I have read Dante’s Inferno and as I recall, only the bottommost level is frozen.

The much-older concept is strictly of an ever-burning Heck, and so I wonder if the idea of “Heck freezing over” was borrowed by Dante or else borrowed from him and then oversimplified.

(“Heck” substituted just in case the censors are overzealous)

Today’s strip is about irony and opposite forces. So all you Dante officianatos- relax. It’s meant to be the widely interpreted “hot” heck, and not so much signor Alighieri’s perditious playground.

Which is what I thought, Justin. :) Some of us just like to quibble (with each other) for quibbling’s sake. ;)
