If you look carefully, you can actually see the words wash off Nancy in Panel 3.

The teacher should really have found some other way to punish her. It mattered going to practice, why? Because they wanted to win?

In regards to our conversations yesterday, I will say that I’m not disappointed with the way things turned out. Letting Nancy drive Voltron Jr. would have been the easy way out. More important than winning was teaching the importance of dedication, patience and the value of hard work. Well, Nancy dodged that bullet!

I just had an interesting thought. If Sluggo didn’t buzz off his hair, what if it grew out looking just like Nancy’s?

Results are in folks, as to how you all predicted this arc will end. And if this strip really is the conclusion, most people did not predict correctly; only only 14 of you were right. https://files.catbox.moe/s2hwot.png

Esther is telling it like it is, and, as usual, Nancy isn’t having any of it.

She never wanted to be in the Robotics Club to begin with, so her quitting was the only choice. Honestly, I can’t even remember why she had joined in the first place. Was it for extra credit, or was she forced to take an after school activity? Anyone remember?

    Love the off-panel Nancy-appropriate resolution.

But the manufactured drama of this whole storyline was a bit much. I don’t really see that Esther’s public failure has anything to do with Nancy. The teacher made the choice (probably appropriate) to not have Nancy drive the gizmo. The teacher decided to appoint Esther to this high-pressure job, over the other kids in the club, when presumably she was aware of E’s stress levels. Yes, Nancy is self-centered, but I don’t think she is guilty (in this instance) of hurting anyone.

On Saturday, Nancy goes to the home of the snotty magnet school kid and eggs her house, causing one commenter to issue a storm of outraged complaints about bad behavior, food wasting, and egg recipes.

If the teacher was attentive she’d have known they’d all lose if the grotesquely lazy and self-centered Nancy didn’t participate, so she sacrificed her other students trying to get through to a gyroscopically selfish twerp. Nancy is just vile.
