Much as I appreciate the detail, I can’t help looking at the second shelf and thinking of this:

Maybe the “cold” was something worse. Did she experience a high fever?. She may be experiencing hemispatial neglect, a neuropsychological disorder sometimes consequent on any of several kinds of challenge to brain tissue. In this case, the damage would have been in the left hemisphere, diminishing or even deleting the capacity to see the right side of anything.

I wonder if Nancy was also seeing spots before her eyes?

If she wants Nancy to eat healthier, Fritzi needs to stop keeping bad food in the house. And if she’s got all those pastries for herself, then she’s making herself look like a hypocrite for telling Nancy not to eat them.

Very cute… though, I am embarrassed and hate to admit…. it took me a few different reads, and a few extra minutes, and few back-and-forth comparisons of panels….. before I “got it”.

Best item in the fridge after all the goodies have been nabbed? I really like the look of the beet. Beets are pretty wonderful!

I stared at the food items in the fridge for a solid 3 minutes & had a dissociative episode trying to figure out if I was imagining some of them looking a bit off. Was not expecting a fully immersive Nancy POV experience. 5/5
