Evangelicals in poorer states have no clue how much they are held in contempt by the Republican elite.

But they all hate Obama, so there’s real kinship there.

and 1/3 of American are unemployed. I think the Trickle down worked for the top 1%. Thank you St. Reagan. The Republican way works… for the 1%

I’m willing to bet that Mr. Wiley has more money than I do.

And I’m willing to bet that he doesn’t want to give any of it to me.

Trickle down doesn’t work in a trickle up economy.

But how? How do the poor people end? Or are they all nearsighted?

Perfect, The only trickle down I have felt was warm and wet and it wasn’t water.

Yeah, and the word to focus on here is “trickle”. Or should it be “drip”?

As I cram for my Octogenarian’s Badge test, having lived in many states and countries, gathering hopes and dreams and fending off rumors about children born 9 months after I left, I often wonder where the “Republican Rich” phrase comes from. The last poor Democrat of memory is Harry Truman, who finished the war for us, but ever since, a Democrat who becomes president begins with a princely salary of (say) $140,000 bux winds up a multi-millionaire upon exiting the White House. Even as an ‘Independent’ (a scary word in NYS) I never could understand the economics of the situation. I should have worked harder in my ‘Sneering 101’ class in order to be able to join the ‘commenter’ section of this Open Debate Club.

“Trickle down” works as a waterwheel? Well yep, works just like a waterwheel with only one blade.

I think I’m going to regret this………… AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

goweeder: with only one blade, when that one blade leaves the water, the wheel will stop turning as water just flows over without appying force to the mass. Of course, if it’s Archimedes screw, with one continuous {blade) like threads on a screw, it might work, but “screw” still would apply to “trickle down economics”.

As long as they can keep you believing that the rich are only on one side of the aisle when they are playing both sides against the middle, you will remain safely swaddled in the delusion that political ideologies can be effective in providing a sound economy by bleeding it to oil the political machinery.

The definition of insanity?
