I miss the days when there was a two year break before they went nuts campaigning. Now, they start jockeying for position as soon as the votes are counted.

And she is in favor of doing away with national borders so people can go where they want. The last time this happened we were all hunter/gatherers.

Dr_Zinj, nothing in her past shows any dictatorial traits….Everything Trump does screams it….

So long as people keep sitting on the sidelines whining that “They are all crooked”, all we will have is crooked leadership.

Those who deplore the quality of the candidates should get involved with groups working to amend the US Constitution to get big money out of politics. This is what big money buys these days, folks! Sure, your own voice can still be heard shouting “Go Visitors” (by the people sitting close to you in the bleachers), but the home team has a band and cheerleaders plus banks of loudspeakers to drown you out thruout the rest of the stadium. Any resemblance to democracy is purely accidental.

Would not at all be surprised if some Republicans have not already started their campaigns for 2020.Democrats? Do not really see anyone on the horizon.OTOH, I really wish that Sen Jim Webb was the Dem candidate. (The modern GI bill was his idea, really resisted and trashed by every Republican, When it became law, those very same Republicans who tried to kill it, suddenly became the real backers when they went back home and talked to the voters

My great grand kids have started their campaign for the 2088 election. It’s best to start early to line up support.

Vote your preference, whichever way it may be. Your electoral college will make the party selection it was pledged to elect… but it’s still WINNER TAKE ALL!

Writing credible sounding dialogue is difficult enough, Writing dialogue that is idiomatic or evokes a particular dialect, or regional accent – and be credible – is extremely difficult, to say the least. You sir, do an excellent job of conveying your character’s speech to us. No easy feat.
When writing for theatre, film, or television, you have the actors to interpret the characters for the audience. But you have only your drawings, and skill as an artist and satirist.
I; for one, applaud you !
