I’ve always wondered about parking signs that charge a fee for 0-2 hours. If you see the sign and you park for zero hours, do you owe them the fee?

Ok Danae, what if someone wants a refund?

The woman does not owe anything. She never agreed to pay for advice, and no price was listed.

Reminds me of a folk tale about a baker who tried to charge a pauper for smelling a fresh-baked pie. The judge fined the pauper, jingled the money at the baker, and gave it back to the pauper.

I knew someone who parked under a sign that read, “Fine For Parking.” He claimed in court that he took it as, “OK For Parking.” He beat the ticket and the City of Edmonton had to change all their signs.

Actually paying attention to the small print will save you lots of trouble.

Truth-be-told Danae is a little stinker and she is the one underhanded. She has the mentality of the con-artist who thinks every other person is not as smart as her and so she deserves to pull one over on them to “help” them.
