Did Wiley and Pastis get together on today’s theme?

Real life is as you live it. No matter how much humans can ignore Nature, Nature wins in the end even if we are wrecked as a species and the Earth with it.

Did the Rubens award get handed out this week ?

So THAT’S what happened to the Holy Grail…

Yeah, if my life looked like that, maybe I’d agree with him.

I can hardly wait for the video game!

Quick take it away from him! It’s not fair that his life is better than other folks!

Sadly, nowadays, reality ISN’T what it used to be.

If only Wiley would accept it…

Now if everyone had such a nice place to live, real life would be a winner for them too.

Such moments are rare. You have to recognize the opportunity.

Real Life. The reason I spend so much time reading the funnies.

I have only 5 priorities in my life and they are (in no particular order) life itself, my health, my family (including about 1,000 brothers and sisters, mostly fellow-vets), my freedom and my faith. These are the only things worth living for, fighting for or dying for.

Everything else, fame, fortune, position, rank, power and all those other impostors are trash.

Our porch swing is on our 3rd floor roof patio, overlooking the barrio. We don’t need television to be entertained – the daily drama and comedy of the calle is exciting enough.

Between all various plants on the patio, the plethora of bright ( and not-so-bright ) colored birds that serenade us, and the view of the mountains, we could be in the country instead of the city.

At night, with the cool breezes and clear, starlit skies, life is definitely the winner !

My porch swing looks out over my driveway and to the woods beyond. A nice place to sit watching fireflies, and sometimes even thunderstorms like we had last night here in Kentucky.

Not according to the President.

The only thing that really matters here is the quality of the woman/partner sharing it.
