In the current political climate, the use of U.S.A. and diplomacy would be an oxymoron. The key in the name of this department is U.S.

It is the clear duty of a national government to take care of the interests of that nation first, short of wars of aggression. Any government that does not do this hurts its own citizenry. A government that puts its own people behind some fuzzy one-world utopian vision will cause its nation to fail. US trade deals have been demonstrably bad for the US, and no country has an obligation to be the ‘open-wallet grampa’ to any other. This is the same principle that Trump, and rightly, has pushed for in NATO, member nations of which have not honored their treaty obligations as far as their payments. A good example, though very specialized, is the ‘mail treaty’, which makes it cheaper to ship from China than from the US to a US destination. Trump is right to discontinue our participation in this and other such badly-planned agreements.Neville Chamberlain deluded himself, England, and the world, with his “Peace in our time” announcement. Churchill, who apparently cannot be quoted now without having to apologize for it, knew better. Never appease.

At first glance, I am a little confused by the units on that measuring bar. The doorway on the right seems to be about 56 units high. Can’t be feet. Can’t be meters. Is probably not centimeters (or he would happily just hop down). Any ideas?

Lenavld, There is nothing wrong as you present it. For example, I have long thought that the us needed to look more closely at our trade deals with china. The problem arises when one does it unilaterally with little input from others. There can be many complex things affecting many people. One needs to consider input from a broad audience before simply reacting.

What did some of you folks do? Fall off the turnip truck just last night! While you may not like our president, he is producing results that can’t be argued with.
