When you’re a mayfly, timing is everything.

While a mayfly lives only about a day or two as an adult, it lives at least a couple of weeks (about 2 years in some species) as a nymph.

It would make more sense for the mayfly to study and learn while it’s still young (as a nymph) rather than cram it all in as an adult.

“Youth” may defined as, until the wings dry off and ready to use. Then, there’s only ONE remaining job!

Most of these species, in their adult forms, have no mouth or digestive system… having no time for feeding.

Do mayflies sleep? I mean, that would be a big waste of time in a short life.

Mayfly spots a potential girl friend, hits a spider web on the way there.

That’s pretty wise for a Mayfly. He probably hatched in Knowvember.

The only knowledge it needs is how to get laid.
