Wile Coyote is the spokes Coyote for his speces, through him kids learn Coyote’s are harmless except to Road Runners, which is why you see them running around in urban settings with out causing alarm.

They’ve certainly cleaned out the outdoor cats in our neighborhood.

There used to be a colony of feral cats in my neighborhood they kept the rabbits away. After the cat colony was cleared out the rabbits came back.

Most people don’t know about the cat-eating thing.

I don’t care much for fish anyway, but sardines and smelt? Just the thought is enough to get my breakfast roiling in my stomach.

I’ve never seen a wild animal eat cat food. Mainly because the nearest forest is probably several miles away.

My sister-in-law puts out food for the feral cats in her neighborhood. There’s usually a possum or two in the crowd around the bowl…

The only thing I’ve seen squirrels turn down was a rotten sweet potato and something pulled it out of the Mixed Organics bin.

What’s smelt? The cat food after it was left out too long.

Actually, they do kill cats, chickens, the occasional small dog, and the occasional baby goat. In packs, they can and will kill a newborn calf. I kill them on sight.

We have coyotes who love to hang our along a small stream that crosses our property. They come around the house from time to time and are interesting and the pups are cute. But neighbors won’t listen and keep wondering what happened to their cats.

When we started seeing coyotes ‘round here, I did some research. Cats are their favorite “pet food” over dogs. I was quite surprised to learn that. And they can jump over 6’ fences.
