Star Wars was tainted by corporate greed, even during the precious original trilogy. But you don’t hear the ragers saying that the Ewoks ruined the franchise forever.

Ewoks weren’t a corporate thing. And the Teddy-Bear-like Ewoks Spielberg added to please his young daughter DID add some disappointment to the series. Slapstick-silly Jar-Jar Binks did far worse.

I still remember the time I had to wake up early to travel through northern California to beat the heat and mosquitos. I didn’t mind because the sky was full of stars. I just leaned back in the back seat of the hatchback and could look up at the stars and Milky Way for hours.

I remember a night sky when there was nothing manmade up there. Then one night in 1957 there it was…..Sputnik.

You can’t have nostalgia without salt.

Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be.

I guess Ozy’s dad had Lucky Charms for breakfast?
