I was once into only vanilla until I broadened my ice cream flavor preferences. (Can you imagine argyle ice cream?)

Plaid… why not go whole hog and make Tartan ice cream while you’re at it… Scotch-flavored, of course.

(That actually sounds kind of awesome, if they got it right.)

I remember my dad taking us to Baskin Robbins 31 flavours and while my brother and I were going around trying to find the best flavours, my dad ordered vanilla for himself.

Lime sherbet is close to chartreuse.

This must be the days before Baskin and Robbins.

Hey, kid! You know where vanilla comes from? Madagascar, off the coast of Africa. You can’t get more exotic than that.

Says the kid whose been wearing the same shirt for 60 years…

Back in the 1950 all ice cream was either black, white or gray (possible stripes or plaid).

I like brown ice cream myself. I just hope the brown is either from chocolate or coffee.

The best ice cream ever was sold by a guy on a pedal cart, just north of Ensenada,Mexico in 1953…The second best was a Gelato from around the corner of the Trevi fountain in Rome,in 1998….The best ice cream is in your memories….Save them…..

Years ago my dad, my brother and a friend were working on a frozen water line . WE went inside to play some cards and each got a big bowl of Vanilla ice cream. WE had been passing a bottle of whiskey back & forth and my dad poured some of it in his bowl. Then we all tried it. Polished off a gallon of ice cream and a fifth of Black Velvet that way!!
