Now that you’ve got the bunny slope down, there’s a hill in the back yard…

I used to ski but my skis never magically changed color from red to yellow. Made you look!

When I was first working with my boss, I made a comment on a pretty scenic photo on his office wall. He said that it was Sunday River. He asked me if I skied. I said, “If God had meant for me to ski, I’d have been born with 10-foot-long feet.” That was when I found out that he was an avid skier. We’ve been together for 12 years now, and he still kids me about that conversation.

I’ve been water skiing a few times, but never snow skiing. An engineer I worked with was going to teach me cross country skiing, but it did not snow for 5 years. By that time, she was the boss and it just wasn’t appropriate.

I like this version of Peanuts better, CB isn’t so outcast or socially bullied.

I’ve always preferred the simpler childhood life’ strips to the later run.

She’s strengthening some muscles, holding that position perpendicular to her skis while stationary on a slope.

I remember this strip so well. It was very funny then and it is very funny now.

    That’s what sleds are for.

I still have memories of going sledding in our front yard as a toddler, memories I assumed much of my childhood meant we had at least a small hill in the front yard as we’d moved out of the area before I was old enough to start kindergarten. Wasn’t until I was in my teens before I saw that house again and saw there was no hill in the yard. My memories, as it turned out, were sledding down a snow bank dad had built up. Maybe about waist high on a grown man, but to a kid of two or three it was a hill twice that high.
