Sally and Charlie Brown sit on the steps. Sally says, "I'm sorry you didn't have a good time at the party, big brother."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown begins to walk away and says, "I suppose it was really my own fault." Sally reaches for Charlie Brown's back and says, "What's this on the back of your shirt? It looks like a note . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown looks at the note and reads, "You didn't see me, but I was the one who hurt your feelings at the party . . . Please call me . . . 762-6414."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown says, "I feel like a dented fender in a parking lot!"<BR><BR>
On at least one occasion, Schulz used a friend’s telephone number in the strip as a gag. Pity the poor soul(s) who had that telephone number in other area codes.
