Why does Peppermint Patty even bother having these discussions with Charlie Brown when he mishears certain things?

That was a rough diamond Charlie Brown, for your collar… or bracelet.

Sadly, no one remembers that but you, Charles.

He’s right, life is like a collar, and there’s always someone who thinks they can lead you by jerking you around.

I was a bit like Charlie Brown. My wife was not subtle with me.

I was once out on a date with about a dozen of my closest friends and we all went out to a restaurant. The waitress was coming on to me and everyone at the table, except me, noticed it.

This is a problem when you answer a question after you have zoned out.

Charlie Brown is a cynical sad sack who can’t see what’s in front of him and Peppermint Patty is a lovesick tomboy who can’t see what’s real. Their dynamic is an integral part of the Peanuts.

A fancy, diamond-studded collar, or a brutal, choke collar, Chuck? :-P

Poor Charlie has the dreaded foot in mouth disease!

Wouldn’t you know it…the one time I can remember when Peppermint Patty actually said something poetic and maybe even profound, and Chuck totally blows the moment with a one-liner.

Five years ago? When he was one?

Then again, that is one of his problems. He learned to talk.

I think this was a set-up for Charlie to admit his crush to Peppermint Patty….

Charlie needs to learn how to pay attention.

I think he heard right.

Not, like a collar, definitively life is more like a collar.

Their relationship is a lot like Lucy and Schroder’s.

I remember once back about five years ago… I said the right thing..

“I was alone at the time…”

At this point Peppermint Patty still hasn’t realized that Snoopy is a dog.

Chuck, five years ago you were too young to say anything except “goo goo”.

Snoopy the ladies’ dog always shows up at the right time! ;-)

Wow, Charlie Brown, I can’t remember anything like that in my own life. At least, in conversations with women. Of any age.
