There are some questions better left unanswered, Charlie Brown!

One would wonder, Charlie Brown.

Come on, Snoopy, don’t be ungrateful, if you knew how many pets are abandoned you wouldn’t do that to CB.

Don’t complain. The ‘round headed kid’ always treats you well.

Snoopy: Only dog with opposable thumbs.

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

Wasn’t CB just wearing a bag over his head, elected camp president? Would’ve been nice, if at one time, CB actually had an interaction with his mom on Mother’s day, and his dad on Father’s day.

Wow! I kind of thought suppertime would brighten his mood.

The first time my daughter got a dog, she wept on the way home and the pup stared out the back window and whimpered. Ten years later when it was time to get another pup to ease the transition, she insisted on getting siblings so she wouldn’t feel so dreadful about breaking up the family.

You call yourself a dog? Heck, our cats have always been more grateful than that.

So does your mother snoop!

Or kick your dish at him….

Snoopy is so ungrateful.

Snoopy’s stomach wins out every time, but that’s not a nice way to treat your supper dish.

Most dog dads care nothing for their puppies, and some will even kill them or drive them away. Dog moms often lose interest after they are whelped. Humans with their longer chilhoods, however, tend toward maintaining the family bond much longer, if not to death. Be happy that you are part of a human family, Snoop.

I wouldn’t dish it out to poor CB if I were you, Snoopy!

Agree with meg_grif. Snoopy will track down his dad one day; there’s a really sweet strip from the 1980’s or 1990’s where Snoopy and his siblings send their dad a Father’s Day card together. (I don’t know if Schulz gave the father a name. He may be named ‘Butch’, but that might not be canon.) Schulz may be criticizing how we humans take puppies away from their families and that not all of them are happy with that. Of course, bear in mind Snoopy is not a ‘normal’ dog. And as I said on ‘Luann’, Happy Father’s Day.

Hey Snoopy! Fathers are the ones who help make you…Dads are the ones who nurture and care for you all you life. Be happy that Charlie Brown is your ‘dad’ he takes very good care of you.

OMG!!! That comic strip just gave me some nightmares!!! I hope my Terrier doesn’t end up like that! My kids could be worse!

His story is a revised history. In the early Peanuts strips, Snoopy was just a dog in the neighborhood and did not belong to Charlie Brown nor any of the other kids.

Of course he made sure to eat all of the food before throwing the bowl at him.

You should be grateful that your adopted snoopy.

Ok I know this strip + the comments were posted like four years ago so this is super late lol, but still, sorry but I just gotta say this… why are nearly all of these comments calling Snoopy “ungrateful” here?? Sorry but that’s kinda bull IMO (I mean he can be ungrateful many other times lol but not here)

Like yeah, how dare Snoopy complain that he doesn’t get to celebrate Father’s/Mother’s Day bc he was forced away from his family without a choice, to be sold away as someone’s pet? When he is mentally just as intelligent and human as the rest of the gang? Wow sooo ungrateful (No offence to the commenters tho, just sayin’)
