She really does ride that bicycle a lot.

At least it is fresh-air. Unlike being stuck inside a house and in a playpen.

I think this is the 1st time I’ve actually seen Rerun in a comic …

I understand – I used to sit on the saddle while my sister pedalled. Sadly she used to jump off when she saw a vehicle coming.

If that works, I should ride along in my wife’s car more often! :D

Let’s remember to wear helmets when riding bikes!

Riding a bike in snow isn’t a smart idea, especially with a child aboard.

I never thought Rerun worked out all that well.

Imagine what happens to a kid in one of those bicycle seats if the bike crashes and falls down… he/she gets flung against the ground, their head hitting at the highest force. Not a good idea, and neither is putting a baby carrier on top of your shopping cart.

Now I’m having flashbacks to riding behind my mother on her Raleigh bike at age four or so…

I still recall my wife and I riding a tandem bike with the baby in a seat on the front and the 3yo on the back. Somehow we all survived. BTW, that was about 45 years ago.

I carried one son or another, on the child seat on the back of my bike for years. The seats were actually attached a bit more securely than this shows. When I had the two boys, the youngest would be in my back carrier, and one in the seat. I must have been pretty confident of my abilities to do that back then. It was the mid seventies.

I think this is Rerun’s first appearance.

As much as I enjoy this strip the inclusion of Rerun (basically a miniature Linus) seemed like an artist experiencing a dry spell (much like TV shows that would feature a pregnancy or marriage to boost ratings)…

I used to do this with my son when he was a toddler. He says its scared him to death; he still remembers it. Also, not a big fan of heights. Maybe a lesson for parents today.

Every strip involving Rerun on the back of the bicycle is awesome. Totally awesome.

I wonder how many bugs she had to pick out of Rerun’s teeth?

Wasn’t this reused in the special I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown? I seem to recall hearing Jimmy Bennet as Rerun making that same comment about loosing five pounds.

And hell lose 10 trying to cover his ears to not hear all the big kids gossiping about him.

At this age rerun need not loose weight. Mommy should have gauged it. Nevertheless cycling is one of the best exercises.
