It’s a sad, sad world out there. You take what compliments you can get whenever you get them.

Unfortunately Lucy’s comment is no longer true. Back then when it was first published they never had an inkling of the Internet let alone saying hashtag Twitter me this, Tik Tok follower, or like me on Facebook!

I wonder if Joe Anthro is another one of those Ancient Alien nutters …

I’m sure you’re all aware that this week is National Gall Bladder Week, and so as sort of an educational feature at this point I thought I would acquaint you with some of the results of my recent researches into the career of the late Doctor Samuel Gall, inventor of the gall bladder, which certainly ranks as one of the more important technological advances since the invention of the joy buzzer and the dribble glass. Dr. Gall’s faith in his invention was so dramatically vindicated last year, as you no doubt recall, when, for the first time in history in a nationwide poll, the gall bladder was voted among the top ten organs. His educational career began, interestingly enough, in agricultural school, where he majored in animal husbandry, until they… caught him at it one day… whereupon he switched to the field of medicine, in which field he also won renown as the inventor of gargling, which prior to that time had been practiced only furtively by a remote tribe in the Andes who passed the secret down from father to son as part of their oral tradition.

I don’t get it. Is Joe Anthro some kind of pun?

His writings are always better when they start out with, “It was a dark and stormy night”.

Joe Anthro? Is that the guy who coined the phrase, “anthropomorphic?”

The dumbest thing ever happened to me was to have a Throat culture check to be allowed accessing my university office in a building where the probability of seeing a human from a distance of less than ten meters is null

I knew a guy who was a plumber/Egyptologist. In school he was a pharaoh faucet major.

Don’t take offence, Snoopy, just remember how uncultured Lucy is.

There is an a cappella group called “Throat Culture”. Their best known song is about someone who wants “a head like the heads you see on Easter Island.”
