Just you wait! “We’ll go on strike! You’ll have a national philosopher’s strike on your hands!”

Considering all the trash on TV these days, a philosopher might actually be an improvement.

They had no Lego back then! How did they survive!?

Well at least that means they didn’t have to step on them

And yet we listen to podcasts and read tweets from “pundits”… the more things change the more they remain the same

Sometimes on the news on French TV channels, someone will be holding forth and under their name on the screen it says “Philosophe.” I always wonder—how much does that pay?

Giving philosophers too much attention always leads to trouble.

Well, you could sit around with Plato watching shadows on a cave wall.

You’re in the wrong strip, kid. Half the kids you interact with are philosophizing on something at least once a week.

We have them today, Sally…they’re called “talking heads”…

I don’t know… when you get a bunch of them together they can be pretty entertaining

They had symposia, the real old Greek ones.

Taking in count you hear no one except your air-filled head, you would feel that as a punishment.

And we complain about what kids are learning now.

Sally, Carlson and Hannity are going to be very disappointed.

I don’t know…in “History of the World”, they had standup philosophers.

I especially hate watching those philosophers who think they should be kings.

I turn on my black and white phosphor/To watch my favorite philosopher/His name isn’t Spock/And he’s not really a doc/But he helps me to live long and prosper.

Would be an improvement over the shills who report the evening news on TV…

Some were pretty good story tellers. That beats doing nothing……

Better to watch “AGT”? Or “AFV”? Better yet, just turn in early.

Stay away from the news then.

I have to wonder how many kids out there can’t read this. It is a code base called ‘Cursive.’ You should learn it.

Most of the Greek philosophers wouldn’t take women as students (Epicurus being a notable exception). Sally would be mighty upset if someone told her she COULDN’T watch the philosophers…

Reportedly watching Socrates or Diogenes could hurt indeed young lady’s feelings
