what’s so social about that, Sally?

that is a good thing to learn Sally!

She also learned to talk to the building.

I learned to mix ExLax in my chocolate pudding to find out who was stealing my lunches.

She learned how to write in a very neat and clear hand. A lot better then most people that I know.

Apparently Sally learned cursive writing (what we called penmanship back in my grade school days). Hold onto it Sally … it’s a lost art!

This is a simple lesson a lot of school children should learn as soon as they can – to watch out for everything they have so they older kids don’t steal them.

Especially when there are squirrels and birds running around.

A useful lesson.

She must be in the same first grade class as Calvin with a very impressive reading/writing vocabulary.

And Sally is prepared for the workplace!

Oddly enough, that’s one lesson that will reap great benefits if she ever works in an office with common fridge…

Reading, writing and arithmatic will tomorrow make you the CEO

That is Rule #1!

A good example of “street smarts,” readily learned in the old neighborhood.

That’s a good life lesson….

So her lunch doesn’t get ripped off? I can see where she’d be worried about not getting ripped off herself, but how does an object get cheated?

I was thinking along those lines also, Sally.

valuable lesson, I’d say

I can still smell all those baloney sandwiches piled up in brown paper bags on the top shelf of the coat closet.

Wish I sometimes had that problem, both when I was bringing my lunch to school and later when I was getting paid lunch at school

When I got my first computer I thought I’d be nice and write my Parents a letter on it ………. a few days after they received it my Mother called and informed me that I wasn’t (basically) polite for writing a personal letter that way ! Probably a month later, I wrote again and that time wrote it cursive by hand …………… a few days later my Father called and said that I should write with the computer because they had a really hard time reading my writing …. :)Even now if I try to print by hand, before I know it I’m writing cursive, which of course gets had to read ……… :)

That is a valuable life lesson.

And then, there’s shorthand….

You will be well served by this lesson for the rest of your life!
