That ice floe would probably break if it’s that thin, has just one point to rest on (the bear’s head) and has two penguins on it.

Actually, penguins live at the south pole, and polar bears live at the north pole. They’d never meet. Ow! Oww! OWWW! PASTIS! STOP HITTING ME!

This must be the North Pole. If it were the South Pole, they would all be upside down.

Dear is right; don’t push him, Honey. Meanwhile that bear seems neither too bright nor too hungry—for the moment….

If I have seen farther than other penguins, it is because I stood upon the head of a polar bear.

My dogs discovered a bear sleeping under a bush, his backside very visible, less than 6 feet off a very popular trail in the High Sierra yesterday!

I’d like to see a walrus thrown into this storyline…maybe a narwhal while you’re at it Stephen.

“Don’t you just love the arrogance that so often accompanies scientific expertise?”Well, obviously you don’t, so why don’t you stop using the internet – created by “arrogant scientific expertise” – and go play in the yard?

Has no one ever wondered why “polar” bears only live at the one pole and penguins at the other?

In a minute, she’s going to tell him to run for it. She knows she doesn’t have to be faster than the bear, just a step faster than him.

Jeez Pastis, don’t you know that penguins speak perfect English? They study dictionaries of usage in their first year of life. What is wrong with you? oh, and as far as that really lost polar bear goes, would you have a leopard seal eat him? Pleeeeeeeease? A leopard seal in the comics would be soooo awesome!

It isn’t a polar bear. It is a seal that takes on the demeanor of a polar bear to fool penguins who haven’t had bear avoidance training.

The distance to the horizon is based on your height above the water. That’s why RADAR antennas are mounted on the ship masts.
