Steph knows exactly how to dress as an Ohio State mascot, but has no idea that the costume might not be appreciated in their biggest rivals hometown? Sounds like Pig is now doing the writing!

Did they beat him up because he’s dressed as the Ohio State mascot or because they suspected a Sunday pun coming?

The one good thing about Michigan fans is that they hate Ohio State. The one good thing about Ohio State fans is that they hate Michigan.

Thank goodness he didn’t dress up as whatever the Nebraska mascot is!

Don’t care about sports, but Ann Arbor Michigan is one of the best places to live in that I’ve ever been (and I’ve lived in quite a few different places). At least it was thirty years ago…

Gee Stephan — directions from Ann Arbor to Columbus? That’s easy: South until you smell it, East until you step in it. Or at least that is how we did it back in the day …. :)

Can you explain this one to people for whom the names “Ohio” and “Michigan” are names of states on the opposite side of the world? :)

Johnathan, MIchigan and Ohio are two adjoining states that have Universities in the same Big Ten college football league. University of Michigan and Ohio State are extreme rivals in that league. “Oh, how I hate Ohio State”, etc.

And Michigan’s colors are Maize and Blue.

Cool the colorist even got the urine stain color correct for them.

If you think that’s bad, try being a Dodgers fan in Giants territory! ;-)

I think he might get the same reaction if he was stuck in Gainesville, Fl dressed as that crappy mascot due to their traitor coach.

As a Buckeye Fan, I loved this strip today. Very appropriate. If you’ve never been to a OSU – Michigan Game, you must go just for the great sports atmosphere.

one of these years,….michigan will beat ohio state. just like one of these years, toronto will not have a crackhead mayor.

Did they beat him up because he’s dressed like that ….or did they beat him because he was tying up the pay phone and they all needed use it.

The Toledo War was over the strip of land where Toledo was located, because both states wanted an established port on the Great Lakes once the Erie Canal was built. Ohio got Toledo, Michigan got the Upper Peninsula as compensation.

Or maybe it stands for Obama care…… just thinking.

That’s Stephan’s fault for not going to East Lansing. What else would you expect from a bunch of Walmart Wolverines?

Michigan and Ohio State are some of my favorite teams. Both powerhouse teams. Good thing I live nowhere near those guys.

Growing up an Indiana Hoosier they don’t welcome you either!!! Don’t love the mitten!!

Growing up in Adrian, Mich, then switching to Ohio as a teen, I’ve seen the rivalry from both sides, even did some work in Toledo for a Mich. woman who was married to an Ohio St. football factory guy. Talk about testing your sportsmanship!

That would never have happened in Minnesota…you should have had him dressed as a Gopher and looking for St. Paul…(and we could all use a shot of St. Paul now and then…both the city and the saint)

Finally noticed the blue and yellow guy, and someone’s comment on him. Up in WI someone painted his house Green Bay forest green with gold trim. Yes, I know Green Bay’s a pro team, but haven’t seen a Badger red house with white trim. (Though there must be some.)

How did Steph even remember Pig’s number????

Living in Columbus, I can testify that the fans here are rabid, and my family from Michigan are often shocked by the hatred they see here. It’s the worst thing about Columbus.

Being a HUGE Ohio Sate fan I both loved this and hated it.

A few weeks ago I got to walk on the giant “M” in Michigan Stadium. Even managed to pluck a single maize and blue blade from the carpet for a friend who is a rabid fan. She told me if I tread on OSU’s stadium floor, our friendship was over. I will be at OSU for Stephan’s talk, but that’s the extent of it. Will not tempt fate.
