This could solve your problem with the crocs, Zebra — just get them some DVD players, and watch the fireworks.

I too grew up in the days of VHS. I kind of miss ’em even though I own a few VHSs but no VCR.

Actually my 74-year-old father has an iPhone 6 (although he doesn’t use it for 95% of what it can do) and I’m still rockin’ the dumb-phone with a slide-out keyboard.

My mother is 90, and she has no trouble with DVD players. Well, not a lot of trouble. Well, she can use the simple one I got her that’s built into a TV.Now computers, forget about it.

What’s a DVD? Is it an App?

Nothing ever changes. When VCRs came out there were plenty of people who couldn’t program them (or set the clock).

My dad is 90 and is the tech-iest member of the family, including the younguns.

MANY years ago the family business installed one of those new fangled FAX machines. My father once asked me to FAX a sample to a customer. (“Dad, it’s not a Start Trek transporter”). Now I get grief from my kids over smart phone/tablet usage.

For Ken Burns “The Civil War”, I recommend Episode 4-Simply Murder (1863).

more ageist propaganda – tech stupidity has very little to do with age.

It’s good to know that somewhere in the world it’s still 12:00- blinking on and off and on and off and on…

I don’t think I can come up with anything that’ll top that one. Two thumbs up. Well, one thumb up…the other’s holding the fast-forward button on my 8-track player down.

I’m sending a copy of this strip to my daughters – I’ll email it. I can do that much! (But not much else.)

In the late 90s, I bought my mom and dad a VCR. They only used it for the remote, because their television set was old and didn’t have a remote. I don’t believe they ever watched a movie or anything else on it. My mom was just so tickled that she could change the channel without getting up from her chair.
