Rat: What all you guys doing?
Man: We've been camping out for today's opening of 'star wars, episode seven.'
Rat: The movie will still be here tomorrow. Nerds with lightsabers are a dangerous bunch.
If it’s all the same, I’d prefer to wait for the next Trailer Park Boys movie instead. Something tells me the people waiting in line would be a little mellower…or unconscious.
rat never ever expose 1. the self delusions of people thinking that being ‘the first’ or at least ‘one of the first’ is more important than anything else in the world or 2. the gullibility of those who believe the media commercialism of our (USA) culture or 3. the extreme need of escapism from the realities of life for many today – as you discovered it can cause a severe reaction!
…and tomorrow, Rat will be going to the theater and announcing spoilers to everybody in line – “if you didn’t want spoilers, you should have been here yesterday”
I watched it Wednesday, at the Swedish premiere. The movie theater had hired a live band to play the music from the movies and everything. Very classy.

Indeed; the plastic tubes on those flashlights can hurt!

At least Apple fanboys don’t beat you up when they wait on line for days.

I’ll wait a week or so and go to the new VIP theater with recliners to see it in 3D.

The hype about Star Wars is ridiculous.

It’s bound to come to Netflix streaming in a few years. Or I can probably rent it on Amazon Prime in a year or so.

One of my cousins is a huge fan of Star Trek. I’ve only seen one episode as I’m not much of a Sci-Fi fan.

I’d wager it’ll still be here for Valentine’s Day

Frankly, I agree with Rat. Especially since the nearest theater that has it seems to be about 60 miles away.

The current events in Star Wars are boring. I miss the good old days of the old republic and the sith empire.

Can’t we all just pretend the sequel trilogy never happened?
