oh, those were the days of my childhood: the NES (never owned one personally, but it was fun at friends’ houses who did have one)

If two mugs worth didn’t make a visible reduction in the coffee urn, we’re talking too much coffee, man…….

Unicorn and coffee seem like a bad idea.

I wouldn’t have stuck around either, but I would have left more subtly. Don’t ask how. One of my hands is in a cast so it takes a bit to type.

You know, Phoebe’s got a truly awesome dad. I know this has been established before, but I just want to say it again.

I liked my Nintendo 64 much better than the 8. Sorry, Phoebe’s dad.

By 1983, 8-bit ’tweren’t much. Mattel’s 16-bit Intelevision had been out for years, as had the 8/16 hybrid IBM PC. Of course, in 1983, I was already in my 30s, and had been using real computers for 18 years, so I don’t have quite the same perspective as Phoebe’s dad.

So close. My forst console was the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, but I know the first Nintendo was also good. Daddy either must now believe he is boring, if not, then at least suspect something is up.
