Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for February 10, 2019

First we have Phoebe growing a unicorn tail, and now we have her growing a unicorn muzzle.

When is she going to turn fully into a unicorn? I know that Marigold once imagined her as a humanoid unicorn, but that was imaginary and thus doesn’t count.

It brings to mind the concept of “super tasters”, people who supposedly have an exceptionally powerful sense of taste. I say it raises a similar question to this.

How can anyone know whether they’re a super taster if they’ve only ever used one tongue?

Well, I’d say it wasn’t surströmming, hakárl, durian, or anything else that smells foul to humans.

Or the smell of leather seats in a new car; put that would not be appropriate for Unicorns…

Am I the only one here who doesn’t find siracha sauce that spicy?

This will put to an end the rumor Marigold is lesbian.

Where can I get my unicorn-enhanced senses? but really though I think it would be really cool if somehow we could use technology to give us the senses of our cat/dog/horse/bird/etc. friends (I know they have camera “apps”) that purport to show what they see, but I’d be stoked if maybe one of those fancy VR systems could give you the whole shebang, Think about it, you’re playing a game of say Warriors (the cat books) and you see things the way the characters might see them, hear what they hear (more or less) and for those with the money, feel what they feel (wind through fur, etc.) on a more practical note, if Vets, for instance, could see the world through the eyes of their patients, they might be able to do their jobs better .

That snout actually kind of makes Phoebe look a little Millie-esque. Now if she had a head of red hair…

While it’s not Freaky Friday, it IS Silly Sunday, so perhaps they might trade places for a while. Marigold could sample the delights of human food – and Phoebe could chomp on grass…
