Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for July 14, 2019

I’ve theorized beforehand that the strip will end with Marigold transforming Phoebe into a unicorn so she can get with Ferny. (Hence her giving Phoebe a unicorn tail in one strip, and a unicorn muzzle in another.)

I wonder if Mari giving Phoebe a unicorn name is more foreshadowing for the finale.

I wonder what will be Dakota’s honorary unicorn name be? Obnoxious Redmane?

I think I found the Unicorn Name Generator that Dana used to name Marigold. Under it, Phoebe would be Buttercup Lovely Head.

I wonder where that name has been spotted before?! :D

Max should get a name too. How about “Fanboy Yellowmane”?

At least it’s better than Walking Eagle.

Well, Freckles and Fingers sounds like a couple of wiseguys.

My poor memory. I never remember Phoebe getting a snout or tail. : (

Considering the naming schemes for all unicorns and how they tend to be semi-literal (Ferny and family excluded), Phoebe really shouldn’t be surprised.

It behooves Marigold to call Phoebe Spiderhooves. If I like to clean spiders and webs with a vacuum, can I be called SpiderHoovers?

I love the name “Speckleface Spiderhooves” and would be proud to use such a moniker.

I still remember this strip, when it was named “Heavenly Nostrils.” Heavenly Nostrils was then Marigold’s surname. So, I look forward to accepting “Phoebe Speckleface Spiderhooves” as her proper Unicorn name.

The unicorn name generator is a bust. I’d never get such a good name as Speckleface Spiderhooves. The names are too cutesy fartsy. I do have white hair so maybe Whitemane Spiderhooves sounds okay to me.

wait, which episode had the tail? It keeps being referenced but I can’t find it.

I want to be a unicorn…or at least a pony…or any other animal besides human given the current state of things.
