Would you call parents who love to play video games “meanies”?

A tyrant is most benevolent when forced to think long term. That’s why Millie occasionally shows her mom brochures for cut-rate nursing homes.

I keep thinking about that song “I Make It Rain”. Or possible “Singing In The Rain”. Or “Raindown”. Or….

My mother always told us that if we got steak for every meal, after awhile we’d get tired of it. We always told her we thought it was a worth experiment…

PS: I ended up living in a part of the country where REALLY GOOD fresh salmon may be had at a decent price. I’m now somewhat tired of salmon. Something I would not have believed until it happened.

Interesting that Dana moved from a place where it often rains to a place where it rarely rains.

Who’ll stop the rain?……

Shockingly, despite promising this to myself as a child – I rarely have ice cream for dinner now that I could as an adult.

From my family’s stories: my paternal grandmother occasionally served dessert first at dinner.

It’s said “Into each life a little rain must fall” but in my case I got the Johnstown flood…

Let her have ice-cream for every meal. Sooner or later she will not want a taste of it for some time. Might teach her that some things are worth rationing.
