You can start using “back in my day” when Hollywood does a live action reboot/ remake/ fakemake of a cartoon or anime you really liked as a kid. So… you’re not far off.
People have a hard time living in the present. Old people miss the old days and wish they could return. Kids want to grow up already and miss all the childhood wonders. When will people learn to live the present?
