Phoebe looks like she’s at the point where she’s willing to retrieve the phone herself. Unspeakable Horrors be dratted!

Here’s an idea: Tell Marigold to get Phoebe’s phone back. Her reason? To take a picture with her phone and stare at Marigold without Marigold actually being around. Phoebe gets her phone back, Marigold gets “Stared” at, Win-win!

Some people say the same thing about the Simpsons characters. They almost never look straight at the camera and when they do, they look weird.

Phoebe looks miserable!

There shouldn’t BE an ‘unflattering’ angle unless you really put effort into it.

Point out more flaws in her appearance until she goes to the zone of horrors (or whatever) to get your phone back.

Kelly Freas, an artist whose work included covers for fantasy and science fiction works, once had a commission calling for a head-on view of a saber-tooth tiger. Unfortunately, as he wrote about his research for the task (in Freas, A Separate Star, 1984), from directly in front a saber-tooth’s face “resembles an over-sized and not very intelligent gopher.” So he fudged it by using a modern tiger’s face, widened a bit to make room for the saber teeth. He apologized “to zoologists, xenobiologists, and other purists.”

She must insist on that, in fact.

You can always “look up” interesting facts on a unicorn… but they’re all going to be “interesting” facts about unicorns.

I would have liked to have seen Marigold in a head-on angle in panel 3.

what did Phoebe always look at before she ever had a phone and before coming across Marigold? the TV screen?
