Was the term “mooning” invented by unicorns for this reason?

No use destroying the truth, Marigold. We’ve seen it again and again.

There is butt one copy you missed, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils. For whilst gazing in the moonlight as you tried to leave any evidence of such a lyric behind, you forgot what lay at the bear-bottom root of it all: Phoebe’s memory. No matter how much you tried to nip it in the butt with mass destruction, you took a seat before the battle reached its rear end, calling it toosh-tosh! You foolish butthead! You have kicked yourself in your own shiny hindquarters!

    That’s no moon. It’s a mooning!

If I had a nickel for every time I said that about a poem written by a ten year old girl in a Dana Simpson comic, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

Her hindquarters aren’t exactly shiny in the first panel, as the right flank is shaded because cartoon logic.

So an agapanthus is also known as lily of the Nile. Something new every day.

You’ll never destroy the original in her head though Marigold.

There are human organizations who pass out similar awards. And try to make them sound prestigious.

My butt is white and shiny like the moon, too, and quite large! Wanna see? -- No? Huh. [Sorry, I should have more willpower to resist joking like that. And now I’m going to click on “comment” anyway. (sigh)]

not quite all copies… but I don’t think she would want to destroy the source. ;)

Marigold’s behind is nowhere near as moon-like as the glutes of some random guy I saw walking downtown once. His baggy pants slid down to about his knees and he caught and pulled them back up without breaking his stride. I remember thinking, “wow, I had no idea those particular bits of human anatomy could be so perfectly round and so luminous; now I get why they call it ‘mooning!’” I was very glad he was facing away from me when it happened.

You know, I think I might see where this is going already…this might be the unicorns making another (albeit semi-inadvertent) jab at Marigold for hanging around the less-than-unicorn human all the time.

It wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened (though it has been awhile since the subject last came up, so…)

Does Marigold know that Agapanthus is a genus of plants?

Dana must share this poem, even if it doesn’t exist yet. ;) Maybe Dakota can sing it or even just recite it on her vblog.

My agapanthus are blooming right now, tall somewhat purplish blue clusters of flowers. Very pretty.
